In October 2015, the SPCA rescued over 70 dogs from a reserve within driving distance from Thunder Bay. The dogs were captured and loaded safely onto an SPCA vehicle upon which, they traveled to Thunder Bay. Once they arrived in Thunder Bay, the SPCA, local Humane Society, and the staff and vets at Highview/Meadows Animal Clinic made sure that they were healthy enough to continue on their journey to Southern Ontario on pursuit of a better life.
