Euthanasia

As a kind and humane gesture, it is sometimes necessary to consider Euthanasia for your pet. This can be an extremely emotional time for a pet owner.

Euthanasia is carried out by intravenous injection, which is rapid and painless. Some owners do not wish to be present to have their pet ‘put to sleep’ while others wish to be present to comfort their good friend until the end. Specific appointment times need to be arranged if you prefer to be present.

Following euthanasia there are options available for the remains of your pet. Cremation services are available where the ashes are returned to you in an urn of your choice, or they are scattered. You also have the option of taking your pet home with you if burial is preferred.

Dignity and peaceful euthanasia is our utmost goal in this emotional procedure. Our staff members are more than willing to help guide you through this process.
