Neurology is the study of the nervous system, including the central and peripheral systems. There are a variety of conditions affecting the nervous system which can debilitate your pet. Often nerves can be affected by inflammation around them from a variety of causes.
Your veterinarian can perform a neurological assessment, and in many cases, prescribe medication to alleviate the problem. Unfortunately not all nerve related disorders can be treated. As in most situations, early detection is important.
